Just how many years in a row has your grandmother given you hideous sweaters for Christmas? Want to get her back with some equally heinous attire? Then perhaps you should check out GiftBox, an online gift management tool which lets you keep track of gift ideas, gifts given, and gifts received. When you sign up, which you'll need to do to use this app, you'll automatically be provided with a list of some of the major U.S. holidays (birthdays included), along with the names of categories of people to whom you're likely to give presents (Friends, Family, and Co-Workers). To use the site, start by entering in the URL of a gift you've found online that you're interested in giving someone. Then, you can specify to whom you want to give this gift and for what holiday, how much it costs, and where it's located. Beyond that, you can also indicate whether the gift has already been purchased and whether it's in your possession yet. You will also be provided with your own gifts section, where you can keep track of who has given you what for which holiday. If you've received something you're not crazy about, you can indicate on the site that you wish to return in. You have the option of entering in the return-by date (if any) and where it needs to be returned to. Lastly, you can use GiftBox to send e-thank you cards to those who have given you gifts.

GiftBox would be especially useful for huge gift-exchanging holidays like Christmas, which can become overwhelming and difficult to keep track of who has given you what and what you're giving to whom. It's really easy to use and comes complete with a clean interface.

I'm not sure whether this application is really necessary for any other holidays besides the major winter ones; when else would you really need to resort to a web app to keep track of presents for you? I'm also not convinced anyone would pay US $20 a year to have access to more than just the provided three holidays.
