    GBridge.com - Collaborate Using GTalk

    gbridge

When it comes to instant messaging, GTalk might not be in your list of preferred applications. While most people use AOL or MSN, GTalk has failed to take off as a premier instant messaging client. Now, don’t be fooled, GTalk is still a great application.

With recent additions, it has become a competitor to the popular VoIP client Skype, but it’s still lacking some features. If you are looking for a more collaborative tool, then you should check out Gbridge.com. Like the name implies, the service bridges the gap between GTalk and other collaboration services, letting you use your Gmail account to share your desktop with other people, share files, sync files to other computers, etc. All of this makes for Gbridge.com a very useful collaboration tool, which if used wisely, can really improve the quality of your work.

Collaboration tools abound, but having one that lets you use your Google account is a great way to avoid having to create another username and having to remember another password. The verdict? If you still haven’t found the right collaboration tool, then you have to check out Gbridge.com.

    In their own words

“Gbridge is a free software that lets you sync folders, share files, chat and VNC securely and easily. It extends Google's gtalk service to a collaboration VPN (Virtual Private Network) that connects your computers and your close friends' computers directly and securely. Gbridge has many unique features.”

Why it might be a killer

It’s a great way to collaborate, which is always a plus in the workplace. It should do until Google comes up with something similar.

    Some questions

Will people trust using the software with their Gmail accounts? Isn’t that giving too much information to a third party application?
