Foldera.com - Your Work Organized Instantly, Really

    foldera

Foldera thinks there’s a serious problem with the communication and collaboration tools you’ve been using. Why? Emails, contact management, calendars, stickynotes, applications, to-do-lists are great and effective and all, but the amount of content it produces is often left unmanaged. Foldera’s objective is to arrange all project-related information into folders that teams can access and collaborate on simultaneously. Instead of filing (or rather, leave it unorganized) all of your communication and collaboration files, allow Foldera to organize this information for you, by topic.

    In their own words

“There's a problem with the productivity and collaboration tools you use - email, contact managers, calendars, task lists, and applications specific to the work you do. Powerful and feature-laden though they may be, their very capability presents a problem. The volumes of information you produce with these separate tools must all be organized, sorted, and filed - by you! If, like an ever-increasing number of people, you work both at home and from an office and use multiple PCs, the organizational struggle gets even more complicated. The smart phones and PDAs that were supposed to help us stay more organized only add to the confusion and complexity involved in keeping all your information current and accessible.”

Why it might be a killer

Foldera has been developing for over a year now their 3.0 version and with Micheal Arrington on board, they have managed to launch this seriously useful web application. Orgoo offers a similar service, whom have not been around for quite as long as Foldera though still have presence as a competitor. The site is clean, well developed and easily navigatable. Organizing information by topic and creating a sharepoint between project team members should interest small to medium sized businesses looking for a more efficient way to organize their existing collaboration and communication tools.

    Some questions

Has Foldera been under wraps too long, will the buzz still be present now, a year later?
