Want to create a unique web survey? Poll visitors to your website or blog, or create a “Contact Me” form? Take a short-cut on that code-writing assignment for CompSci class? (That was a joke.) Foigo.com allows you to create customizable forms, databases, or web surveys. You can create forms with various elements such as checkboxes, radio buttons, drop-down menus, or text fields, and this site will handle writing the code for you. New users can choose between a detailed tutorial illustrated by screenshots, video tutorials (unfortunately, these don’t seem to have sound), or can jump right in for a “test drive” using the test account. This is a nice feature, since it gives visitors the opportunity to try the program without signing up or providing any personal information.
You can start from scratch or browse dozens of templates and projects created by other users. If one closely matches what you’re looking for, simply click ‘Import’ and you can easily edit and customize it. Once a form is created, you choose between “Export Material Using Iframes” and “Export Form HTML” in order to integrate it into your website, though this step is not explained as clearly in the tutorials. When someone submits information through the form you created on Foigo.com, you can have the results relayed to an email address or displayed online.
The site’s layout and user interface currently leave something to be desired, but Foigo.com’s creator promises multiple updates and improvements in the coming months, based on user feedback.
