Don't you hate visiting a webpage hoping to obtain some information, and then leaving empty-handed? Wish there were a way to ask your questions on the site itself instead of writing to the content manager or picking through discussions in an external forum? FlockPod, a new web app which lets website owners embed an onsite social interaction application, may quell these annoyances by allowing users to ask questions and submit suggestions without leaving the page. Once installed site visitors can share thoughts and ideas, and site managers can gain insight into their users' thoughts to modify content in accordance with popular opinion. Site managers also have control over the content generated in FlockPod; they can bar certain users from discussions, for example. Currently, FlockPod is in beta mode, so downloads are free, but the final release will require site managers to pay a subscription fee.
