    FlashcardDB.com - Study Smarter

    flashcarddb

FlashcardDB allows you to create groups of flashcards to practice your studies online. You can create stacks of flashcards easily, or you can import cards from a comma-delimited file (CSV). It’s easy to add cards, and you can move them around to be in whatever order you desire just by dragging and dropping them. Tagging sets of cards is also a possibility, and it allows you to categorize your stacks. This way, if you have a Spanish test coming up and you have stacks of cards based on the terms for travel, food, and shopping, you can study them all at once by studying all cards with the tag “Spanish.” You can make your flashcards public or private, which allows you to check out other members’ cards already on the site to help you in your own studies. When testing yourself with a set of cards, they present you with one side of the card, and then you click to see if you were right. It then asks you to mark if you were correct or not. At the end, they give you the stats on your performance. The cards you’ve gotten incorrect go into the pile for you to practice later on, separating the ones you need extra help with. Keep practicing your sets of cards until you’ve learned all of your terms and trivia.

    In their own words

"FlashcardDB makes it easy to create, study, and share flashcards online. Use the Leitner System to study more in less time. Check out what other people are studying."

Why it might be a killer

It’s an easy tool to use to help people with their studying. Because of the format, it allows for flashcards to cover any sort of information, not constricting right or wrong answers to previously determined terms, allowing for more open ended answers to cards. Being able to use other members’ cards makes this a great learning tool without a user even having to sign up for a site account.

    Some questions

What other features will be added? Will there be more possibilities in terms of what you can do with the cards so that you can mix and match card stacks? Will they create categories for card types so that users can browse through the ones currently available to find cards that might be helpful to their studies? How will they compete with other flashcard sites available already?
