Fauxto is a fully loaded free online photo editor. If that hasn´t grabbed your attention, then this might, Fauxto “allows you to free-transform beautiful, anti-aliased text within a layer, and then apply a multi-colored radial gradient with a variable focal point in another.” Behind that mouthful of image-edit-speak, or jargon, you´ll actually find that Fauxto is dressed to the nines with very cool features. It allows you to work with layers-- imagine a layer of text, or an image, that can be tweaked and preened and colored with a full RGB color space. There´s a newly employed zoom feature, webcam capture, a sharing console to mark files as shared or private, thumbnail previews, a whole lot more. Fauxto, is a clever tool with a clever name, do not be fooled by its slate grey color scheme; it is a shame though that they couldn´t get ‘Freebird´ licensed to play as background music. Fauxto requires an email address for signing up, but, again tout est gratuit.

Fauxto, as far as we know, is the only full-featured image editor on the web. Our goal is free-range editing capability and a YouTube like usage model (create/share anytime/anywhere). You can edit, save to the server and distribute anywhere. Though it is most certainly in a beta stage of development, and we are still working out kinks and tweaking the system as a whole, we think you"ll be happy with what you find.
