eTripBuilder is an online travel agent for recreational and business travel planning and management, acting more as a web app than a website. With eTripBuilder, you can book your flights, hotels, car rentals, and make reservations for dinner and attractions. What makes this trip planner different from the millions of others you’ve seen is that their interface offers beyond traditional services. This web app was developed with Google’s new Web Toolkit, is integrated with Google Maps and easily adaptable to other Google services. For instance, you can import your itinerary to your Google calendar, or any other calendar for that matter. Along with this you can also import this information to your mobile handheld or GPS device.

eTripBuilder.com extends far beyond the conventional online travel agent to deliver a total travel planning and management experience. eTripBuilder.com was developed as a web application that lets travelers book their hotels, flights, and car rentals, as well as make reservations at local restaurants and browse thousands of attractions. Travelers are able to print a copy of their itinerary or enjoy the valuable conveniences of exporting their itinerary to their GPS device, importing their itinerary to Google Calendar or other calendaring software, or accessing their itinerary via a mobile handheld. The interface for this trip planning site doesn’t look like much, but I actually found it incredibly useful while planning a trip to Washington D.C. Sure, I might have been able to find cheaper flights somewhere else, (and we have our own theories about where) though, I thought the importing and exporting to my mobile and calendar was pretty darn cool, and more importantly, useful.

Will they be able to survive, with so many trip planning sites that already have been in existence for years?
