EsyURL allows anyone to quickly turn a long and complicated URL into a short and easy one. In the example they use, they turn a complicated two-line URL into "http://www.esyurl.com/1". This new easy URL can then be used in your emails, blogs, webpages, etc...to make things less convoluted and maybe more accessible. Also, you can upload files (in a limit size of 2Mb per file) and receive an easy URL to acces it. Finally, you can install a Firefox add-on to EsyURL for instant modification. It is a site with a simple purpose and premise, which definitely has its advantages.

It is true that URL's can be long and convoluted, making them seem less accessible and harder to tout. Shorter URLs seem to have more importance, for some weird psychological reason. So, for business and professional purposes, I can see the advantage to using this free process.
