If you're looking for a hassle-free way to invite people to a scheduled event without having to go through your own email client, you might want to give Emailops a look. Emailops is a tool that lets you choose a start date and an end date for an event, and add people to a distribution list to which the event invitation will be sent. Instead of entering in email addresses initially, you simply enter in the names of your invitees. When you're done, a pop-up will prompt you to enter in each individual email address. The invitation itself lets participants see your chosen dates, and they indicated in their reply if they can attend or not. A "+" indicates availablility, a "-" means the participant cannot attend, and a question mark is used to indicate uncertainty. These marks are placed below each day that the event spans; for example, if there is an event which runs from October 12th to the 15th, and you can attend on all days except for the last one, you would indicate your availability by entering a "+" below the 12th, 13th, and 14th, and a "-" below the 15th.
