    Efax.com - Easy Faxing Anywhere

    efax

line and all the associated expenses (paper, ink cartridges etc.) By getting the service you’ll get a real fax number (or if you already have a fax number you can keep it), that’s linked directly to your email. This will in turn allow you to send and receive faxes as email attachments. What’s great is that the person, who’s faxing you, will send you the information as if it were sending it to any other fax number. Then the fax file is converted into an attachment and emailed to you. Plus you’ve also have the option to route all your incoming faxes to up to 5 different email addresses. If you want to send a fax simply attach the file to an email and then in the to field type the faxesnumber@efaxsend.com, click send and it will arrive as a paper in a fax machine. In addition you can save a fax just like any email attachment. This will enable you to send, receive or check out your faxes anywhere you’ve got access to your email. But that’s not it as the site also allows you to receive voice messages as an email attachment too, which you’ll easily listen by using your PC speakerphones.

    In their own words

“eFax launched its Internet fax service with the goal of using the convenience of email and the speed of the Internet to make it easier for people to send and receive faxes. eFax has grown to become one of the world's largest providers of Internet messaging services, offering fax by email and voicemail by email to more than 9 million members. Our appeal and success are built around three key features: the widest selection of phone numbers; an easy way to send and receive faxes and voicemail by email; and a fast, reliable and secure communications network.”

Why it might be a killer

You'll be able to check your faxes anywhere you can check your email. It eliminates the need for a fax machine, an extra fax line and all the associated expenses. It’s really easy to use.

    Some questions

Will people pay for this service? Most enterprises already have fax machines why will they buy this service for if they already have a faxing system integrated? Who converts the faxes to emails? How am I certified that information sent is not revealed?
