To put it in simple words, Drop Record is a new service whereby any file that you upload is automatically distributed to other websites on the WWW, and the ensuing links are saved. In practice, this means that you upload a single file but this single file is distributed massively and can then be retrieved from a plethora of file hosting providers.

There is a word for that, as a matter of fact: “Mirroring”.



This service is completely free, and the implementation is as straightforward as you could long for – you just upload the file from your computer and then you are on your way to automatic distribution.

To me, this service falls into the “I don’t think I need it right now but I am sure to bookmark the site” category. Believe me, I often neglect sites that I should definitely bookmark and then I need them more than ever only to wound up doing an Incredible Hulk impersonation as I can not locate them again.
