In their own words
“Like many of us, Dimdim’s founders were scattered across the world and used an assortment of free communications tools like Skype and Hotmail to keep in touch. When they wanted to share what was on their computer screens they discovered that existing web conferencing products were all either too expensive or too complicated (or both). As accomplished software designers, they knew there had to be a better way. And so Dimdim was born.”
Why it might be a killer
DimDim has already raised millions in VC funding and it is really no surprise given the robust nature of their solution and the fact that it will appeal to all.
Some questions
With all of the funds currently flowing to DimDim there simply has to be a well-thought out business model. What exactly is the model behind this entirely free service? Is it to eventually release premium features? Or is it a model whereby big business will have the choice to purchase a white label version of the solution?
