    DestroyToday.com - A New Twitter Client & More

    destroytoday

Described by its author as “a robust but compact Twitter application”, DestroyTwitter is a new Twitter client that has been built atop the Adobe AIR platform. This new client is available for free, and you can download the latest version at www.destroytoday.com, along with other tools that are also developed by this programmer, and which are mentioned below.

All the basic features you would expect to see in such a tool are accounted for. Direct messaging functionality is fully implemented, and the same goes for TinyURL integration. A search tool for tracking the buzz on Twitter is also part of the premises.

Some features that will be implemented as part of the next major update include improved language support and retweet functionality. A general overhaul of the current interface is also imminent.

In final place, and as it was mentioned at the beginning, the site will give you direct access to other projects by this programmer (Mr. Jonnie Hallman), and these include DestroyFlickr and Doppelganger. If you like his take on this Twitter client, you might as well give these tools a look and see if they also resonate with you.

    In their own words

“DestroyTwitter is a robust but compact Twitter application built on the Adobe AIR platform. It consists of a series of canvases that constantly update to keep tweets current and up-to-date using notifications that appear immediately after a new tweet arrives.”

Why it might be a killer

It is a simple and effective alternative for getting into the Twitterverse, which will particularly suit those just getting started.

    Some questions

How often will DestroyTwitter be updated?
