CulturedCode.com/Things - Task Management for Macs

    culturedcode

GTD, Getting Things Done. It’s become a mantra, which if repeated infinitely, we hope will create a sort of sonic imprint that will impel ourselves to get it together and get things done. Failing that, we have the aptly named Things, a self described ambitious project aiming to create a easy, and fun, yes, fun, (if that’s at all possible) GTD app for Macs (with a name so simple, what else besides Macs could it be for?). Things is light yet powerful in typical Apple fashion. There’s a tag bar which appears when needed and adapts to lists on display; it also has hierarchical tag functionality. Things has collaboration tools—you can delegate tasks by Mail, Bonjour or Chat. The quick entry HUD lets you enter things as you think of them. Lists are stored in XML file format so you can access them from any platform anytime. Things is just getting started. If you want to see more, sign up and start getting things done.

    In their own words

“Things is an ambitious project to create the easiest and most fun to use personal To-Do management application. Simplicity, however, will not be achieved at the expense of powerful features...”

Why it might be a killer

Things is light, elegant and powerful. For people who need to manage their time and get things done, this is ideal. It bridges the divide between technology and actual usage, so that users won’t get bogged down by the software.

    Some questions

Will this be free? What about a cross platform version?
