CivilAction is a portal where you can go to make story games and then play them with your friends. Basically you can either choose to make up a story and use the prompts given or you can get one from their database. Once you have a story, you send it to your friends or whomever you’d like to play with. Players download the story and then scamper through the city trying to “solve” it. Depending on the theme, which could be anything from a murder mystery to a simple race to different locations, the game plays out until there is a winner. No internet connection is needed after people have downloaded the story and if you are still having trouble understanding, the site is like a computerized version of a treasure hunt.

In their own words
“CivilAction is used for social games where teams race to solve a story that a host has created.”
Why it might be a killer
Treasure hunts are very popular as are murder mysteries. CivilAction could become a popular tool for developing these games and it could appeal to the corporate sector for promotional purposes.
Some questions
Will enough people be able to see the value added being offered?
