Chatterous solves the problem of reaching all of your friends at once even if half of them are in Siberia. It’s a new web application tool that lets you set up groups of friends and talk to them on their method of choice: mobile, email, web chat.

Currently, Chatterous works with Gmail and GoogleTalk, but plans to expand to MSN and AIM among others. One of its star-making features is a hassle free approach to communication. Only one person has to actually sign up for the service. Once you’ve got an account you can send messages across platforms. Everybody who responds can do so via phone, web or email. Replies are sent to everyone in the group so everyone is clued in on the conversation. You can opt in and out of conversations too. Chatterous is nothing revolutionary, but its simple, logical approach to communications is sure to please.
