In their own words
“ ‘Millions of users carry camera phones each day yet very few actually take pictures with them. Cellblock.com provides a convenient and immediate service that enables anyone to capture and share their life and experiences through pictures,´ said Eric Conn, co-founder of Gloto Corp. ‘What makes cellblock so unique is that groups of people can contribute to the same photo album on an ad hoc basis. Those online photo albums could be projected on a wall or displayed on a large screen. Anyone attending a social event like a wedding, a concert, or even a political rally can contribute to the show and be part of the event. And those who can´t attend the event can watch it unfold live and even contribute their own pix remotely.´”
Why it might be a killer
This is a creative concept that allows for anyone with the correct email address to view a group of pictures that can be taken by more than one camera and from more than one service provider. This kind of album makes far more sense than the albums that you can use specifically through your service provider´s website. Documenting your life with pics from your camera has never been easier.
Some questions
Will people use this site since they have to pay the fee to send the photos to the actual site that their service provider charges? Will people care to spend time on albums and sharing pics from their phones when the quality at the moment isn´t amazing? How many people really use their cells for pics and videos that they want to keep?
