BitLet is a java-based applet that lets you download torrent files without the need for an actual torrent client. Besides saving you some valuable hard drive space, BitLet gives you more downloading options. It’s simple to use too. You can A) copy and paste the torrent file’s URL into the BitLet’s home page and download from there or, choose option B) and use their code generator to create a direct link to the torrent file (if you’ve got a website, or are a publisher of some sort). With option B you can easily share files on your blog or via email and the recipient, of course doesn’t need a BitTorrent client either. The torrentless needn’t despair anymore.

“ BitLet wants to be a very simple BitTorrent applet that lets you download any torrent file directly in your browser.”

BitLet has come up with an ingenious way to make BitTorrent neutral. Those who haven’t got Torrent clients installed on their computers can now download and share like everyone else. It’s simple yet extremely practical.

What about a bookmarking tool so others can get your torrent? How well does BitLet function? Can downloads be paused/resumed?
