bitRipper is an application that allows users to convert their DVD’s to AVI files. bitRipper is a great application because it was a commercial product initial and therefore is good enough to buy but available at no cost. bitRipper can support most video export formats and is so simple that anyone can use it. Insert your DVD, click on a button and bitRipper does all the rest for you. bitRipper works with Windows and appears on the auto play menu. bitRipper saves your converted DVD to your PC’s memory; you do not need to save it on another disc. The application is simple to use and has online help as well. Besides being easy to use, users can customize parameters of their DVD. Backing up DVD’s is easy with bitRipper and free.

bitRipper is a great option for backing up DVD’s. It is great that bitRipper was a commercial product and now is available for free. Since it was a commercial product it works well and is dependable. The site is well organized and contains a great deal of information on the application. The screenshot section is a great way for users to get an idea of how to download the application and the steps necessary to set it up.

Although bitRipper was a commercial product there are a couple of ways it can still improve. It would be great if bitRipper could support DVD’s with subtitles. It would also be great if bitRipper allowed users to convert to other forms for iPods and portable devices. A support section would also be nice. A testimonial page would be a great way to promote the application.
