Once you download the BadBuster desktop component all companies you come across while surfing the web will be tagged with a certain color and score telling you how close to being green they are. Red, obviously, is a color to be avoided; yellow is the medium. A pop up window allows you to access even more info about the brand, how it compares to others in the same field, what environmental polices are and how they can be improved. The sites ratings are based on various sources among which are the Carbon Disclosure Project, Business Week, and KnowMore. Right now, the app only works with IE 6 or higher but a Firefox version is in the works.
