They collect companies' environmental ratings and compile them into a database. Once you download the BadBuster desktop component all companies you come across while surfing the web will be tagged with a certain color and score telling you how close to being green they are. Red, obviously, is a color to be avoided; yellow is the medium. The sites ratings are based on various sources among which are the Carbon Disclosure Project, Business Week, and KnowMore.
