“I simply tool it” is atoolo’s intriguing tagline. You see, this German desktop offers you the tools to access and manage your data wherever you may be. The newly launched English version offers an ajax interface along with 1GB of storage, an address book, messenger, PostAts, a type of sticky note, and image galleries, among other things. There’s also a meeting scheduler and text editor which makes getting things done within one online interface very simple. Atoolo looks and feels like your regular Windows desktop. To use it you’ve got to register; the basic version is free.

Atoolo has a familiar, slick feel. It’s similarity to Windows ensures users won’t struggle with features. It’s got plenty of tools and apps to keep everyone happy.

The site could use some work as far as providing information. The German to English translations aren’t quite there. Will users be searching for something other than a Windows –type desktop? What about something more innovative and new?
