Arzoola.com has just introduced a new application called Social Call. This social networking tool will allow you to call of your friends and acquaintances without actually having to dial their number. Every user who chooses to create a profile on the site has the ability to set their standard phone number. Once you find the person you want to call, just click on the call button and you’ll get through to their phone, without paying a cent. Social Call is available as a Facebook app (like there weren’t enough), but it actually brings more functionality to the service. Much like the mobile version of Facebook, you’ll be able to call your contacts without having to look for them on your address book. One way to see it would be to consider the app as a sort of online phonebook that includes all of your Facebook contacts. It’ll be interesting to see how far they take this without the phone companies complaining about losing business.

In their own words
“Social Call! brought to you by Arzoola Inc, is an application designed to allow users the ability to conduct a phone conversation without having to disclose phone numbers to each other.”
Why it might be a killer
Making free calls should be a feature that draws millions of users. If done right, this app has the potential to grow into something as big as Skype.
Some questions
How is the call quality? How can the service be free?
