While Evite seems to hold a large chunk of the e-invitation market, it is by no means perfect and it is no wonder that a number of companies have attempted to tackle them by offering a more enhanced and user-friendly service. Anyvite is one such company that offers a more streamlined invitation process and a significantly improved mobile experience. Making an invite requires less initial set up information and best of all, invitees can RSVP directly from the email itself instead of having to go to a hosted page as is the case with Evite. Mobile applications include the ability to make invitations on the go and also a robust SMS experience which allows you to send mass SMS updates for changes in plans and for any invited person to send messages to any of the others on the list.

In their own words
“Anyvite is here to help you spend more time with your friends and less time arguing about the who, what, when, and where (if you need a why, you might be hanging out with the wrong people!).We provide you with the tools to easily coordinate social events with your friends (the ones you know in the real world...remember the real world?) so, as a group, you can make plans and keep in touch throughout the outing.”
Why it might be a killer
Perhaps the best thing about Anyvite is the ability to RSVP directly from the original email. It sounds simple, but this feature alone makes this far more user friendly and practical than Evite.
Some questions
How will they go about convincing stubborn Evite users to make the change? The problem that they will face is that most people automatically think “Evite” whenever they go to make an online invitation.
