Allth.at - The Continuous Search Engine

    allth

Allth.at is a new breed of search engine which harnesses the power of all the other new and not so new engines to give you the best results. Users can search across various search engines and refine their queries with filters; searches can be saved and subscribed to via RSS or email; this way the search continues without any input of your own. The site looks like any other site; to start just type in your query and use the drop down box at the right to narrow your search by engine or descriptions. You can then tab through each separate search engine to find the results that work best for you. Sources cab be added by clicking on the add tab and you can choose to save your search once you´re done.

    In their own words

“Allth.at is the search that never stops. We will keep looking for your item on the sites you select and report new search results back to you. You can also choose to have new results emailed to you or, you can subscribe to the RSS feed and have your new search results delivered right to your RSS reader.”

Why it might be a killer

This newcomer brings some serious impact to the searching arena. Allth.at keeps your search going, which indeed, is not exactly brand new, but Allth.at´s results are more real time so the most current results are displayed. The site is well designed and it´s got an intuitive interface so that there are no real hurdles to tackle when using this site versus Google et. al.

    Some questions

This is a relatively small company, how will they keep things going? There´s always the Google factor; Google dominates the search market, and it´s hard not to overlook. People are accustomed to using it, and no matter how user-friendly Allth.at is, it´s not exactly the same as Google.
