    Alfresco is an open source content management tool for enterprises (ECM) . It provides document management, records management, web content management, imaging and collaboration. It’s built for ease of use with an intelligent virtual file system and Google like search and folder browsing. It features best practice collaboration with preconfigured smart space templates, project structure and content and logic lifecycles. It also offers threaded discussions on folders and documents. Alfresco needn’t be installed on the client end and it’s got advanced security measure built in. Finally, as it is open source, the cost is thoroughly affordable. Alfresco also supports a wide range of languages.
