ADrive.com - 50 Gigs of Storage Space for Free

    adrive

In case you were wondering, here's yet another company entering the online storage market: ADrive.com. With ADrive you'll get a free account which comes with 50GB of storage (yes that's really 50GB, and yes, it is really free) and you can login from anywhere with internet access to reach your files. You can store photos, videos, music, and text files. Soon to come are premium storage plans should you need more than 50 gigs to store all your stuff. Also on the way are personalized snapshots for scheduled backups, a desktop client with drag and drop functionality and file sharing. Users are currently limited to one account.

    In their own words

"ADrive LLC (ADrive.com) leads the free online data storage community, offering the largest amount of free storage on the Internet. We provide our users with secure solutions for storing, backing up, and accessing files from virtually anywhere, at any time. ADrive serves as an online, centralized vault for all file types including: music, videos, photos, documents, and more."

Why it might be a killer

With ADrive you get almost a whole iPod worth of storage space for free. That's a whole lot more than the 1gig most online storage companies are offering. For that fact alone ADrive is worth a try. Fifty gigabytes—most people don't even have that much data to store.

    Some questions

Can you upload more than one file at a time? Will the 50gigs remain free? When will they implement file sharing?
