TweetBeep.com - Keyword Tracking of Tweets

TweetBeep allows you to track various keywords published throughout the Twitter world. All you have to do is enter your Twitter account information, the keyword you want to track, and the email address you want the notifications sent to to keep updated on what’s being said about you, your site, your product, or anything else that matters to you. It even finds the links that include your keyword in the original URL no matter if they’ve been shortened by tinyURL or some other similar service. You can have the tracker refreshed every few hours or every day, depending on how often you like to receive notifications. It’s an easy, free tool you can use to keep updated on when the keywords that matter to you are being mentioned. This could potentially help you get feedback on your company or product, see how it’s being used and received by the general Twitter community, and use that information to track your development and progress. Multiple keywords can be tracked at any given time, and you can choose which parts of each tweet are actually scanned for those words. So check out TweetBeep and see what’s being said about you.

  In their own words

" Be the first to know who's twittering about you, your products, your company, or your website! TweetBeep.com gives you twitter alerts by email when a tweet matches your search! You can even check for mentions of your site, even if the link is shortened (like throughTinyURL). And it's free!"

Why it might be a killer

This is a useful tool that has an easy, free setup, and search parameters you can set to suit your specific searching needs. For sites that have just been launched who are trying to gage the impact of their product as it is released and changed, this is a very useful tool that makes it easy to keep updated with. It also makes it possible for you to find the Twitter users who are using your services, who you may want to follow in the future, since they are your readers and clientele.

  Some questions

How will they be making a profit from this service? Will they fix the date and time of the updates? When I searched for KillerStartups as a keyword, the results that came back mentioned dates from last year, when the actual tweets were really submitted earlier today. Will they make it possible to scan only specific users’ tweets in case you want to check a broader search term, but only throughout a specific user base?
