Slideboom offers users a new way to present power point presentations- live and online. You simply upload slides to slideboom.com and they are immediately available to be observed by internet viewers. The slides are displayed in precisely the same way as they are seen in the original .ppt format, including the same visual effects, sounds, and other media. Online users have the choice to provide feedback and criticisms of slides. The presentations can be embedded in a blog or website, or can be stored on the site. Presentations on the site are categorized according to subject, and range from arts and culture, to business and finance, to travel and places.

| Why it might be a killer | |||
SlideBoom converts .ppt or .pps into professional presentations that are useful in the business arena (for example, embedding your business proposal presentation on your website) and personal arena (displaying photos with graphics from a recent trip). There is no need for a viewer to download a file or worry about awkward transitions between slides.

Most of the presentations seem to just be photos in the form of a slideshow. How can SlideBoom encourage users to expand its use beyond what is offered by Flikr and other photo websites?
