Calameo is a terribly easy app for making those normally dull looking text docs into things of beauty. It allows anyone to create magazines, brochures, catalogs, reports, guides, books-- you name it they’ve got it. Here’s how it works: first, you’ll need to import your files from your computer, OpenOffice, PDF, Word etc. Next, you’ll be given the option to insert links, videos, music, forms, and other multimedia. You can also create a table of content and once you’re done, you can organize all your works using tags and keywords. There’s also a nifty offline feature which allows you to take your publication off and online with one click. Browsing through Calameo’s selection you can tell that there’s quite a variety of topics/media to check out. You’ll also notice that the documents turn out crisp and clear on Calameo’s viewer.
