ZifiMusic.com - Music Discovery via MySpace

ZifiMusic is (yet one more) music search/discovery engine. A quick run through of how it works (if you happen to be new to this music rec thing): first, start with a song or artist that you like; next ZiFi will search for music that sounds similar; if you like a song, approve of it using a thumbs up, likewise, if the song is awful give it a thumbs down—this way you’ll train the search engine to get better results to match your taste. Music samples are taken from Myspace—there’s a sliding bar of music samples for you to choose from and judge. New music is added daily.

ZifiMusic is simple enough to use and they’ve got a solid collection of music. For those who are always on the look out for their next favorite band, Zifi’s not a bad way to start.

After you search for music, is there any way to save your preferences for the next time? Is there any way to make playlists, or to share music, or to do anything else? The site doesn’t really seem to serve for anything other than giving you a glimpse of some artist’s MySpace page.
