Zenfolio.com - Professional online photo gallery

    zenfolio

Zenfolio is a site to upload and share your photos, at a level that is slightly more professional-looking than other similar sites. The difference with Zenfolio is that you can upload large image sizes and the quality is spectacular. There are no ads, and with Zenfolio you don't have to buy prints just to keep your photos online. Each gallery you create can be shown in a slideshow which you can customize by selecting the background, captions, and optional shooting info (such as which camera you used, lighting, and so on). Zenfolio is unique because of the level of personal choice you have as far as how you upload and display your digital images. You get a photographer's home page, which you can customize, as part of the package. However, Zenfolio's not free: the Basic service is $25 per year, and the Unlimited is $50 per year.

    In their own words

"Zenfolio's service offers you the ability to order prints from a choice of photofinishing labs. Whether it is inexpensive Fuji prints or high quality Kodak Metallic prints, you can choose what you like. And every print is backed by a Quality Guarantee you can count on. You can make any item Public or Private, locked with a Password or opened only to users on a list. Access settings can be applied to galleries, individual photos, or the entire account. Seven high quality image sizes plus the original full size photo make it really easy to link from blogs, forums, and other Web sites."

Why it might be a killer

These days, more and more people are starting to take digital photography seriously, and they are looking for sites like Zenfolio that displays images in a professional and attractive manner. Zenfolio offers great features that make it stand out from other photo storage sites.

    Some questions

Even with all the great features Zenfolio has, the question is always, will people think it's worth the price tag, especially when there are free web sites to choose from?
