Wildscreen.TV - New Generation Quality Broadcast

We all love YouTube, but for serious filmmakers or e-movie buffs, an exciting and original new alternative is always welcome. Wildscreen.tv is a free new video site that focuses on quality rather than quantity, and also offers filmmakers the chance to earn some money from posting their videos. Users create a profile that also acts as a personal video channel, streaming all the content they’ve uploaded - although you can set individual videos to private or public. Wildscreen offers the channel operator 100% of the ad revenue from their page. There are no limits on how much you can upload, and like other video hosting sites, Wildscreen users can tag videos, browse through content uploaded by other members, and share videos by emailing via Wildscreen or embedding videos on MySpace, Facebook, blogs, or anywhere else across the web. Wildscreen integrates with tols like Digg and del.ici.ous to help you promote your videos. There are social networking features as well, such as joining and creating video groups to connect with other members.

  In their own words

Generally speaking, Wildscreen is a free website and online community for watching and sharing videos. Specifically, Wildscreen is a new generation, quality broadcast that promotes fresh films by demanding directors for hungry consumers.

Why it might be a killer

Wildscreen.tv offers a nice alternative to YouTube, with greater social networking options for film makers and buffs, and of course the all-important opportunity to generate some ad revenue from your videos.

  Some questions

Because your profile and video channel are one in the same, users cannot create separate channels for different types of content. Will this frustrate some users who’d rather create separate channels for sharing their videos? Is this site unique enough to really separate itself from so many other video hosting and sharing sites on the web?
