VoxLite.com is like a webmail service, only instead of allowing you to create and send text e-mails, you can send and receive video mails. The service is very easy to use, as you needn’t download, plug or set anything: just set up an account and click the ‘start recording’ button, and VoxLite will automatically enable all the peripherals you need in order to record your message. Once you’re done, you can preview the video, and if it’s okay just push the send button and wait for the reply. Signing up allows users to store unlimited video messages, both sent and received, just in the same was as you would store your emails using Gmail or any other webmail service, and since each video message has a 20 minute recording limit, you can fit lots of words and feelings into your message with ease.

The fact that this is a private service is just great. There are lots of sites around that will allow users to generate video-mails, but they tend to be more public that VoxLite.com is, so the attention to privacy is a good reason to turn this site into a killer startup. I was also thrilled to find that when you receive a message created using VoxLite.com, you are not requested to sing up as a member to watch your video mail.

This service could really become massive any of these days, anyone can see that, however the question remains: will people still rather to show their bad-hair-day face as opposed to writing a face-less email, which can be much more dignified and effective to convey a point than a video is? Will this site conquer a substantial market share of video-mailers?
