What do you get when you mash up Twitter and Flickr? Twitxr. It’s light comm, i.e. short messaging a la Twitter, but complemented by pictures. Or vice versa, the words complement the photos. Basically, what you have is photoblogging, the succinctness of photos to convey any given message. Twitxr, of course has given users the option to link it up to Facebook and Twitter, which makes it easier to keep up your communication circuit. Although the service was designed with the iPhone in mind, it hasn’t been officially sanctioned by the Apple folks, meaning you’ll have to do some maneuvering to get it to work. Photos taken from your iPhone actually have to be pulled in from Twitxr. Besides that, Twitxer does automatically add your location without the need for GPS.
