TubeCast.tv - Just Like Watching TV, Except on the Net

TubeCast.tv is trying to achieve a new way of online video viewing. Their definition is "an attempt at merging traditional passively viewed television broadcasting with the active nature of the web". Somewhat counter intuitively, they're trying to find a way for you to watch videos without having to really exert yourself; the only active part is any rewinding, fastforwarding, pausing or skipping that you may do. To that end, the TubeCast team has built a framework on top of your trad online video services, making your viewing experience not only aesthetically cooler, but a lot more relaxing. For the most part, they get their content from sites like YouTube, and organize into channels; programs are displayed on schedule like normal TV, but as with Tivo, you can skip past all the boring parts.

"tubecast.tv was born of a morning-after-the-night-before habit of laying in bed, watching wacky clips, cartoons and music videos on YouTube and Dailymotion. Aside from the excruciating hangover, the only feeling of hurt experienced was from being forced to choose what to watch next. Why?! Oh, why be forced to reach for the mouse, and search for another episode, all whilst these bloody bongo masters are having the party of their lifetime inside your head?"

TubeCast looks pretty slick, it's got a great UI, and it really brings the TV experience to the web. Best of all you don't have to download anything like Joost et al.

How well does it work? It seems to stick on 'One Moment Please' without end. Any way to search content?
