StudioNow.com - Leave Your Movies to the Experts

    StudioNow

Have a collection of photos or videos, but fear the family might fall asleep during yet another slideshow presentation? Let StudioNow give your media the attention and professionalism it deserves, transforming them into the highest quality of digital content that this side of the universe has ever seen. This is the first-to-launch social network of movie editors and directors working as free-lance experts who want to provide you with their recommended editing services. Forget trying to figure out complicated video applications, let the pros do it for you at an economic rate.

    In their own words

“We are the creators of the first web-based, virtual community of freelance video/movie editors and directors available 24/7 to provide Hollywood-class filmmaking expertise and editing services to our customers. We are commited to transforming your digital photos and videos into high-quality, enjoyable content in an efficient and affordable manner.”

Why it might be a killer

StudioNow recently earned $1.5 million in venture capital funding, led by Claritas Capital and followed by Envoy founders Fred Goad and Jim Kever. If they plan to spend this round on expanding their team of film experts and technology development, they will be well on their way to video glory. They set themselves apart from the rest by providing an affordable alternative (starting at just 10 bucks) to using video creation software. The benefit is that the editors and directors are trained professionals who know what they are doing.

    Some questions

Where will they allocate the funds they received this round? How can they expand and add more options for those who would like to specify exactly how their movies should be created? Will they be able to compete with video creation applications which are free and more customizable?
