    Streamick.com - 200+ TV Channels Online

    streamick

Streamick is the largest online database of free web TV, with 208 working TV channels in the database. Of course, that is limited to english language TV available on the web. Still, that is impressive and almost overwhelming. One glance at all the stations they offer can make you yearn for simpler days. But that"s just an old(er) lady talking. The reality is that this site has almost anything and everything you want to watch on TV. Users submit live video streams to the site and the sites go through a validation process. They also go through a user rating process and will only get listed on the main directory after enough users vote in on. They also have a ranking of the most popular sites of all time and of the day you are watching. Finally, and maybe most impressively, the site is very diligent about taking off any channels that do not work, so people don"t waste time trying to get certain links to function. The service is free and apparently completely legal since all the content is available to anyone, anwhere on the web. Neat.

    In their own words

Streamick.com provides the largest broadband internet TV service of the web. Thousands of users use Streamick.com every day to connect to the major internet broadcasters and watch free live internet TV in the easier way possible. Streamick is a user-built website that provides link and direct feeds to ALL the existent free web tv in english language available on the Internet. Each television channel must pass through a validation process in order to be included in the directory, wich requires user ratings as well as administrators approval. If a TV station is trasmitting in english for free on the Internet and its actually working, You"ll find it here.

Why it might be a killer

This site offers more TV than anywhere I have found on the web, and all for free. The site is also professionally managed and maintained, and I like that they give a lot of clout and credence to the user audience. While it is a bit too much TV for me to handle, I appreciate and respect its content and offerings.

    Some questions

When will the technology arrive to reduce the buffering time to watch live stream video? That is still annoying and a reason TV still exists, at least in my opinion. Also, is it too snobby to not like the google ads along with the TV ads (I know the site has to make money, but can"t they get sponsorships instead of those pesky google ads?)
