Splashr is an application for Flickr which is actually far more robust and useful than it first appears. Splashr is full of different options for viewing Flickr photos and there are also a variety of ways to search for photos. No registration is required so you can start testing the site immediately. Choose to search for keyword tag, by Flickr username, or by email and then start building your slide show. There really are a multitude of slide show options which include: Desktop, Compact, Basic Black, Post Card, Reflector Film Strip etc… and there are also a number of HTML players and Flash frames. So, whether you are interested in make a unique slideshow for your own photos, or you’d like to make slide shows from multiple users, Splashr would appear to have it all.

In their own words
“To get started, enter some Flickr tags separated by spaces. To view photos from a particular user, enter their Flickr user name (screen name), email or user id (NSID). Click to preview.”
Why it might be a killer
It is simple to use and has a well-designed interface. The slideshows load up really quickly and the site has a good chance at becoming popular.
Some questions
Do they allow you to export slide shows for future viewing or for adding to your blog/site? At first glance it would appear that they do not but that would be a great add on feature and could greatly help viral growth if it was properly branded.
