Soundpedia.com - Find the Music You Want to Hear

    soundpedia

Soundpedia is a music sharing community operating out of Singapore. The site allows members to share, discover and stream music. As with any new community site worth its salt, Soundpedia plays host to a number of standard features: friends, comments, profiles, channels, playlists, vlogs, and sharing. Members may search for music on site via keywords, genre, artist, or they can check out what others are listening to. They can also upload their own playlists. Soundpedia already has quite a wide-ranging music catalogue which music fans will appreciate. There are popular options as well as lesser known artists and genres. You can find entire albums without any problems. Some even include lyrics. Users can also rate songs and find similar artists. Soundpedia is free.

    In their own words

“Soundpedia is a music sharing community that helps users discover great new tunes, find old favorites, share them with friends, family and strangers. On Soundpedia, users can also make a playlist, either interactively or by uploading their existing playlist settings from their favorite players, and they can listen to music on their PC or mobile device. Want to find someone with your same tastes? no problem. Chat with friends, post testimonials, make a comment on an artist, or even make your own audio/ video blog? With Soundpedia, users can do it all for free. Soundpedia's vision is to 'bring it all together to jam.'

Why it might be a killer

With an extensive library and no fees, Soundpedia is a music community with a difference. It’d be easy to ignore it if it weren’t for the music. The site actually delivers and if you’re a music fan that’s what you want. The extras—friends, chatting, and blogs—are great but if the music is not there, the fans won’t be either.

    Some questions

Soundpedia isn’t the easiest to navigate, nor are aesthetics the first thing that come to mind when you browse the site. Could definitely use work as far as layout and design. Not as easy to find what you’re looking for on first try.
