ShowMeTheCurry.com - An Online Cooking Show

    showmethecurry

ShowMeTheCurry.com was started by two texans, Hetal and Anuja, who love to cook and teach others how to cook South Asian cuisine. In just a period of 2 months, the two have produced over two dozen cooking videos where they show their audience from the basics of stocking the pantry for South Asian cooking to actually making some delicious meals. Presented in a slick and professional format, the videos make it easy for newbies to follow along and cook. Their content is syndicated by several other cooking related sites such as ifood.tv.

    In their own words

"Great chefs are not born, they are created through a journey of trials and errors. We, at Show Me The Curry are no different. We have had more than our share of cooking goof-ups, mishaps and faux pas. As two busy moms with barely enough time to breathe, we have learned some quick and handy techniques to save time and energy in the kitchen. We would love to show you how to avoid the mistakes we made. South Asian Cuisine, just like our country and culture, is very old. There are a thousand ways to make a simple ?Mung Daal?. Our goal is to provide you with a well tried, tested and liked version of different recipes. Never be scared to experiment and create your own version of anything you read here. Remember the key ingredient to any kind of cooking, have fun."

Why it might be a killer

While there are many cooking sites offering recipes, there are not too many offering video recipes that are easy to follow along on the kitchen laptop or an iPod. Rather than print out recipes and try to follow along, it makes sense to just play the video and follow along. If you miss a step, just rewind, pause and watch. The slick production value and professional presentation makes this a killer idea.

    Some questions

Will the site creators be able to keep up the demand for the content and keep it coming?
