    Rockstartup.com - Web 2.0 Video Drama

    rockstartup

Ever wondered about the maddening journey that is launching a web 2.0 startup? If so, take a gander at RockStartup, a new web reality show in the style of Big Brother and Co., which gives you a taste of what goes on behind the scenes in the internet world. Some may find the content hilarious, while others may find it obtuse and rather ethically debauched, as nothing is held back. It's got drama, tears, comedy, pratfalls, and of course some work. You'll see the Rockstartup team lead by Ted Murphy finding their way through love affairs, meetings, lunches, dinners, breakfasts, parties, feasts, anything and everything basically. The startup in question is a little something called PayPerPost which is exactly what you think it is—marketers paying bloggers to write about their products.

    In their own words

"Well hello there and welcome to our adventure! Sure, you've seen reality TV before, but never like this! Rockstartup is a whirlwind journey that captures the promise, the perils, the pride, the pressure, the pain and pitfalls of launching a web 2.0 company. Basically, we own.
I'm sure you're asking yourself, "What's in it for me? What do I get out of this show?" I ask you, where else can you catch a behind-the-scenes glance of some very awesome people? The premise is simple: we work. Easy enough for us. Your part is even simpler, you watch. Put down that paper, put down that pencil or pen or pocket watch or anything else you may be holding and just watch."

Why it might be a killer

If you're into reality tv and the somewhat questionable antics that often ensue, Rockstartup's for you. It's funny, it's entertaining, it's controversial. These are guys who get drunk, dress up as native Americans and paint themselves red. They've already turned quite a few heads, and I imagine even more will either come to detest them or love them.

    Some questions

For one thing, the whole Rockstartup team seems to have already racked up a reputation that's less than stellar. Also, their startup in itself, PayPerPost seems to go against Web 2.0 values and many people simply won't read these posts.
