Pixrat has taken social bookmarking and focused it on the visual spectrum. Members of Pixrat can share and collect photos, drawings, diagrams, illustrations, etc., which they've found on the web. There's a bookmarklet which allows for easy pic capture. From there, users can organize their images into albums with categorical tags. Notes may be appended and items can be grouped into lists—favorites, nature, people, etc. Privacy settings allow you to share your photos with a select few or the world at large. Users can check out what's popular by clicking on the most voted/commented/bookmarked sections. Additionally, users can vote against photos, and discuss their images with other community members. For bloggers, a Pixrat badge is available.

In their own words
"Collect pictures of interest from webpages as you browse them, at the click of a button. Organize them into Albums and Tag them. Add your notes. Manage your lists via the picture bookmarks. Share your picture albums with your friends, family and everyone else. Your bookmarks are visible to everyone unless you choose to make them private."
Why it might be a killer
Pixrat provides a simple way to collect and bookmark visual information. The bookmarklet is easy to use and there's a wealth of community oriented features. Great for photo research.
Some questions
With so many other social bookmarking sites out there, is this one necessary? Will people feel the need to join yet another site? Feeds for tags?
