Papercritters.com is a lively and colorful interactive toy building site that is a mix between anime and paintshop. The ¨designer has total control over every feature of their toy and can choose colors, body and facial features, design configurations and attitude. There are multiple options to make the toy loyal, evil, cute, or a rebel. There are different sizes to choose from and slick movable views. After creating the toy, users can go to The Colony and check out the other toys, see their personality ratings, and organize them according to other characteristics. This is an exciting and highly interactive website where the user has total control over the final product and can make comments on other toys, collect, share, and print.

| Why it might be a killer | |||

Papercritters.com snags the viewers attention immediately with the smooth graphics and immediately lets the user take control. Colors and graphics are vibrant and easy to use. Creators choose the mood of their toy and have complete reign over all aspects…who doesn’t love that kind of control! Also, in the colony creators can make friends with each other and communicate by commenting and collecting toys. The idea that the toy is paper is confusing at first but then to find out you can print the toy is very exciting!

Adobe Flash Player 9 is required which limits users; however this is a tough obstacle to overcome. In the future Papercritters.com could add a messaging program to connect members and add to the interactive nature of the program. A context for the colony would also be advantageous to the creator as they can do more than just compare their toy with others.
