MuxTape.com – Create an Online Mix Tape

While very few people actually listen to music on tape cassettes these days, don’t we all harbor a little nostalgia for mix tapes? muxtape.com brings the mix tape into the 21st century with its web-based mix tape creation service. A muxtape is an online playlist of mp3 tracks, which you upload individually to the muxtape server. Each track can be a maximum of 10MB, and you are not permitted to upload more than one track from the same album or artist (presumably to prevent illegal sharing of an entire album via muxtape.com). Each user is only allowed to create one muxtape. Once you create your muxtape, you can listen to it from muxtape.com or share the direct link with friends, so they can hear your playlist. From muxtape’s front page, you can access a selection of other users’ muxtapes, and yours will be considered public too.
