More specifically, MiRoamer lists radio stations from countries all over the world (one thousand stations and counting), available for streaming or download direct to your computer. You can search for the stations according to country, genre, or internet only. Users can listen on three audio platforms, Winamp, Windows Media Player, or Real Player. There is also a top ten hits lists on the home page, so new visitors can listen to the most popular stations in the world (according to MiRoamer fans, at least).

What makes this interesting and different from other online radio sites is the anthropological component associated with listening to a station operating out of Afghanistan or Korea- you are experiencing something that people there are enjoying as well. Plus, they have radio from Antarctica- how crazy is that?

Embarrassingly enough, I was never able to get the music to play on my computer. Whether that is a fault on my end or theirs, their “help” button needs some content beyond listing the three media player that are supported on the browser.
