Lynchr.com - Add Comments To Your Images

If you’d like to add your own funny or informative text to any image, Lynchr.com provides a quick and simple (and free) way to do so directly on the web. Upload an image from your computer or enter the URL of any image online, and with Lynchr you can easily add what look like speech bubbles to the image, filled with any text you’d like. You can alter the size or location of the comment or change what direction the protruding arrow points in, but there’s currently no option to change your font, the color of the bubble, or anything else about the appearance of your comments. This does keep the entire process simple and intuitive, though, and if you need any guidance, there is a Quick Help menu at the bottom of the editing screen that can be expanded. The image you create can be downloaded as a .jpeg or .png file, or Lynchr will provide a URL direct link to the finished image. You can also easily upload the commented image to your website or blog (wordpress, livejournal, etc.) or to an online forum by copying and pasting the thumbnail code Lynchr spits out for you.

  In their own words

“Lynchr is fast and easy way to comment your images online. Upload your images and comment them right in your browser just in one minute. No additional software or special skills required.”

Why it might be a killer

This program is fairly intuitive (no lengthy instructions to follow) and you don’t have to register, so new users can jump right in to give it a try. Lynchr offers enough code or download options that you could use your commented images in any number of ways – post on your blog or a forum, upload to your Flickr or Facebook accounts, email to friends for a laugh, add a commented image to your PowerPoint presentation at the office, etc.

  Some questions

Is there any limit to how long Lynchr will save your images on their server? Will future versions allow greater creativity in designing the appearance of your comments (color, font, shape, etc.)? Also, why would you name a site Lynchr.com? It’s a little disturbing that when you upload an image you’d like to add comments to, you click on the enthusiastic “Lynch!” button to proceed.

worst name I have ever seen. I would never go to anyone's site after choosing a name like that.
