Osiris is the brainchild of a young team of students from Brown University would wanted to create an innovate connection between images and music. This isn't MTV online, although the team did win a grant from the music video company's university branch (MTVu) to launch their product. Osiris goes beyond the music video by aiming to provide a service that synchronizes song lyrics with various visual media (photos, graphics, etc). The application works by integrating itself with your current media player to identify the artist of each song. Then, Osiris quickly scans the net for song lyrics and downloads them, tagging each descript word. In turn, these tags are used to search the Flickr database for images with the same tag. Finally, Osiris will "automatically blend, filter, float, transform, or transpose entire series of images into dynamic musical visualizations".
