FanCast.com - Your Source For Big Screen News

    fancast

FanCast is a celeb permeated, pop entertainment gateway—think TV Guide meets IMDB, with a splash of YouTube. You’ll get star gossip, movie news, and TV show episode summaries, along with behind the scenes glimpses of Hollywood sets and backstage machinations. FanCast lets you know what’s on, where it’s playing and at what time. You can buy tickets on site via Fandango or catch previews from the video library. There’s also a section dubbed My Fancast where you can list and rate your favorite films and TV shows. If that’s not enough, check out the Six Degrees feature which finds relationships amongst actors, shows, and movies, albeit sans the Kevin Bacon factor.

    In their own words

“Because we're as into entertainment as you are, we have created one all-inclusive escape that combines everything you want to know about TV, movies, and celebrities. More than just the latest entertainment buzz, Fancast is also your number one place to find what to watch, where to watch it, and when it's available.
This is just the first step toward getting you closer to the stuff you love. We hope you enjoy this beta version and that you'll help make it even better by participating in a brief survey on our feedback site. With your feedback, everything you want to see, know, or discover will be a click away. “

Why it might be a killer

The site is essentially a much better looking version of IMDB, with TV listings and trailers. Besides its pretty interface, it features plenty of celeb news and movie highlights. If you want to know what’s on, FanCast is your place to go.

    Some questions

When will the movie clips/trailers actually work? How useful will people find the site? Is it a little too bland?
