DopplerRadio.net - PodCasting Redefined

Doppler has been around for a while, but it's still a great tool. Developed about three years ago in Belgium, Doppler essentially pulls downloadable files from RSS feeds automatically adding them to your player of choice. It works well for Windows users—it's Vista compatible and it's been developed on Vista. Doppler's features are consistent with most other programs—e.g file management and ID3 tagging. Other features include status of your feed subscriptions, keyword filters, disk space management, tray notification and proxy support. Doppler has in fact already been downloaded over 1.5 million times and now it's been made open source and released on CodePlex.

Doppler provides for simple and easy podcast downloading. Requires minimal effort on the user's part. It's got a very modern interface and complementary features.

How will Doppler develop now that's been made publicly available on CodePlex? Is podcasting still too narrow a market to make it mainstream?
